The directions accompanying this product are absolutely useless. The directions are impossible to read, understand or implement. If you already know bikes, I suspect you will figure it out. If you don't know bikes, like me, you will spend many frustrating hours doing and re-doing. Interestingly, the directions don't even mention how to fold the bike in half, which was the point of the purchase. Given the comparatively low price of this bike, I had realistic expectations about product quality, but I find the lack of comprehensible assembly instructions unacceptable. Had two stolen in two months, figured he could wheel to dorm room fold and sit in corner of room. So far plan is working (With U-shaped soild steel lock during class). The good and the bad. Good--it folds great-quick easy-good size-rides well- does as expected.BAD--some assembly required...means the instructions where terrible printed on bad paper that was a blur of print difficult to read is an understatment-fenders are plastic and so cheap I attempted to use then ended up throwing out-shifting is difficult, chain falls off if you shift to fast mostly stays in one speed, so much for 15 gears--pedels need to be tightened very deep if you don't they fall off.... Overall am pleased (Purchased a better bike at walmart for same price but was stolen in weeks), but the ability to fold trumps all as we KNOW it will be there in the morning. |
